Ferrous Sulphate tablets are used to treat anaemia caused by lack of iron in the diet or loss of iron from the body. This is a Pharmacy Medicine item. You have had repeated blood transfusions. You have anaemia caused by deficiency of vitamin B12 or folic acid. Not recommended for use in children. Contains sucrose and glucose. If you have been told by your doctor that you may be intolerant to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine. •Please consult your pharmacist or doctor before using this medicine if you are currently pregnant, likely to get pregnant or breastfeeding. •Please consult your pharmacist or doctor if you are currently taking any other medicines as this may cause an interaction. •If you think you may be allergic to any of the ingredients contained in this medicine, please seek medical advice before taking. •If you have any questions after you have bought this medication, please speak to your pharmacist. Do not take with tea, milk or eggs as they reduce absorption of the medicine in the stomach Always take ferrous sulphate tablets as instructed by your doctor. For prevention of iron- deficiency anaemia, adults and elderly, take one tablet daily. For the treatment of iron- deficiency anaemia, take one tablet two to three times daily.
